Shala Guidelines

1. Practitioners are encouraged to reserve slots if they intend to join a class at least 2 hours in advance.
2. Students will be accommodated if they arrive 30 minutes before their class to be able to stretch and meditate.
3. Make sure that you sign your yoga pass/card provided by a VYC representative before entering the shala so as to avoid unnecessary inconveniences.
4. Take off your shoes and put them inside the shoe rack.
5. Cellphones should be set into silent mode.
6. Silence is to be strictly observed upon entering the shala and the lounge area at all times. For those who would want to discuss matters, you can do it outside the center or in the hallways, but in hushed tones. Respect the serenity and comfortable silence of other practitioners, the shala and center premises. Let us be more considerate to those who would want to meditate and prepare before the class.
7. As soon as meditation starts, the yoga instructor will lock the shala door so as to avoid latecomers from disturbing those who are in the meditation. The shala door will be opened as soon as meditation is over, so that latecomers would be able to join the class.
Please be guided accordingly.
